In a series of coordinated attacks across Balochistan, “pro-independence” groups Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) have claimed responsibility for targeting Pakistani security forces, mineral transport vehicles, and communication infrastructure, inflicting human and financial losses.

In a statement issued to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s fighters carried out four separate attacks in Tump and Dukki. According to the spokesperson, BLA fighters attacked a Pakistani military post in Mirabad, Tump, where they fired rockets and grenades, killing at least two soldiers and injuring four others.

The spokesperson further stated that a truck involved in the “exploitation of Baloch national resources” was targeted in Rabat, Dukki, by shooting its tires and rendering it immobile. Additionally, communication towers in the same area were destroyed in two separate incidents: one on the night of December 15 and another in a previous operation.

Jeeyand Baloch asserted that the BLA was responsible for all four attacks and reiterated their commitment to fighting until Balochistan’s liberation.

Meanwhile, BLF spokesperson Major Gohram Baloch, in a separate statement, claimed responsibility for two significant attacks. The spokesperson said that BLF fighters targeted a Pakistani military camp in Heronk, Kech, on December 16, using heavy weaponry, which resulted in the death of one soldier and injuries to two others.

In another operation on December 13, BLF fighters allegedly shot dead Abdul Ghafoor, described as a military intelligence “informant” in Gwarag, Panjgur. The spokesperson accused Abdul Ghafoor of facilitating Pakistani forces in operations, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings of Baloch youth.

BLF also detailed further operations conducted on December 11 and 12 in the Kech region. According to the statement, BLF fighters attacked trucks and construction vehicles involved in mineral transportation and set fire to a water tanker intended for military use. On December 15, fighters intercepted and burned a truck carrying supplies for Pakistani forces in Parom, after safely releasing the driver.

The BLF spokesperson accused the Pakistani government of exploiting Balochistan’s natural resources for military and economic gains, claiming that minerals such as coal, marble, gold, copper, and oil are being extracted and transported to Punjab at the cost of Baloch lives. He criticized local transporters and contractors for facilitating the “plunder” and warned of consequences if they continued to collaborate with state forces.

Both groups reaffirmed their intent to escalate attacks against Pakistani forces and their alleged collaborators until Balochistan achieves independence.
